Summary : Baby Risha was operated on by Dr. Rajesh Sharma/Dr. Jameel Khan and discharged on 25.09.06. It is reported that the baby recovered well and was fit for international travel home by 03.10.06. Post operatively patient is doing very well. She is active and eating well. Summary : The parents and the patient flew in to Kuala Lumpur from Sandakan, Sabah and over a video conferencing session with Dr. Collin John, Senior Pediatics Surgeon at NH, from MediAssist4U discussed the above case in detail. A glimmer of hope came about when Dr. John informed the parents that a Bi-Directional Glenn Operation will be administered to help correct the child’s heart condition. The parents notified Dr. John that the hospitals they had referred in Malaysia were not in favor of conducting any surgery on the child and their advice was discouraging. The parents were most pleased to receive the positive counsel of Dr. John on the matter and immediately decided to take the child to NH for surgery.

Leaster is doing fine after the surgery. He has gained weight and has become more active. Leaster’s lips used to turn blue prior to the surgery but now are doing well like a normal child. Summary : Patient a known diabetic, smoker and alcoholic before he was presented with chest pain and his investigations showed a positive stress test with coronary angiogram triple vessel disease. On examination his vital signs are stable with normal systemic review. Patient departed for NH on 3.11.06 with his son for the operation.

Mr. Sin recovered well and was back within two weeks. After 6 weeks, he was reviewed by surgeons from NH via telemedicine. Today he is happily carrying on his shoe sales business.

Summary: She was presented with a history of difficulty in breathing and being easily fatigue. She was diagnosed with Idiopathic Atriel Fibrillation in 1996. She was under regular follow-up with IJN and symptoms did not improve. She was assessed by Dr. Shetty at our Center on his visit to Malaysia and advised for further assessment at NH. At NH she underwent several invasive and non invasive procedures and advised to continue with conservative management.

Mr. Kong is most relieved and pleased that he is on conservative management.

Summary: Silvestre was born with the heart pumping beneath the skin, located outside his abdomen. It was told that he would not live beyond 2 months. Summary: This lovely little girl was born with heart defect (Tetralogy of Fallot). A palliative surgery of BT shunt was performed locally during her first year of life. After doing much research the parents finally decided to send the patient to Narayana hospital for corrective surgery.
